March Tea Spill ☕️

March Core

Monthly Recap with Nene

Heyyyy Reader!

I’m baaaack, It’s been a minute, and honestly, I missed disturbing y’all.

So here’s the first edition of our monthly core: It’s time to spill all the tea from March (and a bit of April already).

Welcome, New Folks!

If you’re new here, first of all, you’re in for it. This is not your regular “business newsletter” where we all pretend to be professionals. Nah. We gist, we rant, we learn, and we move. Strap in, ‘cause I’m about to scatter your expectations.

Birthday & Blessings Recap 🎂

March was my birthday month! 🎉 Another year of being an absolute icon (duh). Thank you to everyone who sent me love—y’all really made my day! If you didn’t, it’s not too late oh, you can still send gifts. 👀

API in Your Product Strategy 🧐

Oya, Let's talk tech for a sec: when we’re mapping out product strategies, we tend to conveniently ignore some technicalities (because, ugh, too much brain work). But hear me out! APIs are lowkey the plug for unlocking better product decisions. I wrote about how APIs fit into product strategy, so instead of dragging you through another lecture, just go read my article. 😌 I promise it’s worth it. (Link below because I’m an enabler).

Life Update – The Growth Era 🌱

Reader, If you had told me two years ago I’d be all about growth and strategy, I’d have laughed. But here we are. Nene.pm pushed me to learn skills I never even dreamed of; like mastering marketing analytics, crunching conversion rates, and really getting into user psychology. Now, I'm not just managing projects; I’m writing content that hits, leading an awesome team of designers, and running experiments that actually boost retention and acquisition.

Basically, I'm still on the same path, just the 2.0 version, and it feels damn good.

Navigating Management Conflict

Fam, what in the daylight robbery is happening with data prices? Twitter (sorry, X) has been on fire, and rightfully so. MTN really woke up and chose wickedness.

This change threw our whole system into chaos, and it wasn’t long before I found myself in a heated clash with a colleague over the ‘system’ I built that she claimed was “wasting her data.”

I already spilled all the deets on TikTok…if you love drama, RUN and go watch. And if you’ve ever been caught in a management conflict that went sideways, let’s parà in the comments and share the real tea. 😭

Vulnerability Check: Figuring Out Your Learning Pattern 🧩

One thing about me? I’m always looking for better ways to learn. So, I’m starting a new series on how to actually learn things efficiently (without frying your brain). Also, I filmed a content piece on this, so go watch it and let me know what you think!

Pomodoro Saved My Productivity Life – Thanks, Tooke ⏳

Tooke, if you’re reading this, you’re a lifesaver.

So the other day, I was ranting about how much I’ve been getting distracted from work. It was obvious I had a burnout, but then there were deadlines to meet, and Tooke introduced me to the Pomodoro productivity hack. I’d usually overlook this because I thought I was fine on my own until I hit that wall. 😭

I finally started using Pomodoro properly, and productivity has been smooth. I added it to my Notion workspace, and honestly? Bliss.

Try it out for yourself here

More to Come 👀

One thing about me? I’ll always give you the real tea…

Whether it’s ugly, good, or straight-up embarrassing. We die here. 😂 April is about to be interesting, so stay tuned.

Reply and tell me—what’s been going on with you? I actually wanna know. 👀

Till next time,

Nene ✌🏽

Personal Note #1 THE ONES WHO STAY Some people love you loudest when you're at your worst. I think it’s a form of love to want a person to do better for themselves. No, not the soft, performative display Reader. Not the love that applauds you through every bad decision because it’s afraid of your reaction. But the real kind. The kind that looks at you and sees what you’re capable of and refuses to pretend otherwise. Life is fickle. It moves fast, and it moves quietly, and somewhere in the...

Issue #2 Selling What You Know (Without Feeling Cringe) Hey Reader, Ever get that ugh feeling when someone says: “Just sell what you know!” Great, but how do I turn soft skills, random hobbies, or quiet expertise into income without sounding like a loud coach yelling on Instagram? This week’s issue is about shifting from “Who would buy this?” to “Wow, I’m actually selling what I know…and it feels good.” The Big Idea You don’t have to be loud, flashy, or ultra-confident to monetize your brain....

Your Worth Beyond Work (Confidence ≠ Self-Worth) April Core Adulthood has a way of pulling you into a rabbit hole. One moment you’re excited about a new launch. Next, you’re questioning everything: your KPIs, decisions, and direction. And if you’re not careful, you start to tether your entire self-worth to how well you’re performing at work. Hi Reader, Welcome to May. Here’s my reflective collection from April; still keeping it raw, real, and product-inspired: Confidence ≠ Self-worth Unhinged...
